About Myself
CAPTURING CREATION'S LIGHT

Greetings! My name is Tobias, I am 22 years of age. I have been an avid photographer for about 6 years now. I am self-taught and always learning. I shoot mainly Macro, Nature, and Street, and am now working on wedding and portrait. As you will see by my portfolio I am not limited or bound to any one form or style of photography (I enjoy them all). I use Lightroom 6 (standalone) as my editing and cataloging software and I try to do minimal editing and to leave the natural beauty of the photo as untouched as possible. I believe that creation has so much color and beauty on its own that I don’t need to add anything to make a photo “better” or “great”. The camera I use is a Sony A7ii. Almost all the photos on my site where taken with old Minolta prime lenses. I have a Minolta 50mm f1.7, a Minolta 24mm f2.8, and my pride and joy a Minolta 100mm Macro f2.8. I also have a Sony FE 24-70mm f4.0, and a Sony 70-300mm f4.5- f5.6. That is all I have for now, but I hope to sometime soon–or as soon as I can afford them–to get a Sony FE 70-200mm f2.8 GM2, and a Sony FE 85mm f1.4 GM. If you have any questions about the photos, the software/equipment I use, or about anything whatsoever, please do not hesitate to ask, I am more than willing to help in any way I can. Thank you so much for visiting my website, Tobias (AWAA)

AWAA?
AWAA stands for “Amateur with an Attitude,” a playful nickname I affectionately earned from my younger siblings when I first started capturing “creation’s light” at the age of fourteen and when I was determined to prove I had an unrivaled eye for detail. Since those youthful, exploitative days, I have sought to master my craft and become a true professional, but the nickname stuck and has now become my signature and photographic persona. When behind the lens, my greatest joy is framing a shot that illuminates the world in a unique way such that it captivates the viewer to contemplate all that is good, true, and beautiful.
